WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Leader
9 Months- Worked with other 8th grade WEB Leaders to organize fun events and activities for the new 6th graders to feel more welcome and integrated into the middle school environment
- Toured and engaged with a few groups of 5th graders from neighboring elementary schools about to go into their first year of middle school
- Talked with 5th-6th graders about how middle school will be, what classes or extra curriculars they can do, clubs they can join, where to go if they need help, and encouraging them to try whatever they want because taking any opportunities will benefit their middle school experience
Camp Counselor in Training
1 Month- Worked with camp counselors to oversee art activities and free time of around 15 elementary school children
- Duties included: putting away art supplies, cleaning up, setting up acitvites, engaging with children during art activities, encouraging participation and listening in art sessions, and watching over them during free time
