Overseeing the project, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, inspecting construction work and materials and contract requirements (Mostly against AASHTO, ASTM, ACI, BS., And other standards), safety enforcement, documenting and reporting, testing, monitoring progress with time, quality and cost, reviewing the contractor's work, and resolving any conflicts., Monitor and inspect all phases of construction: This includes earthwork, concrete pouring, in-situ concrete casting, asphalt paving, structural elements (bridges, culverts), drainage systems back filling, signage, and safety features., Verify materials: Inspect incoming materials (concrete, aggregates, soil, asphalt, steel, etc.) to ensure they meet specified quality standards and test results are acceptable., Check workmanship: Ensure that all work is performed correctly and to the required standards and tolerances., Interpret and enforce blueprints, drawings, and project specifications: Ensure contractors are following the approved designs precisely., Identify deviations: Spot any work that doesn't conform to the plans and report it immediately., Monitor work site for safety compliance: Ensure contractors are adhering to all safety regulations, traffic control plans, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements., Identify and report unsafe conditions: Take immediate action to address or report any hazards., Ensure public safety and the longevity of infrastructure., Maintain detailed daily reports: Document all activities, inspections, materials used, personnel on site, weather conditions, and any issues encountered., Record measurements and quantities: Accurately track and record the work completed for payment purposes., Ensuring project documents are completed, collected, and signed in timely manner, Records test results, analyzes data, and prepares reports on material performance and taking photograph and video for project progress., Liaise with contractors: Communicate inspection findings, issues, and requirements clearly and professionally to the contractor's representatives and report to project manager or to Senior Resident engineer., Communicate with project engineers/managers: Report on progress, quality, and any significant problems and project status., Coordinate with other inspectors/stakeholders., Oversee or perform field tests: Ensure materials and workmanship are tested according to project requirements (e.g., soil compaction tests, paved asphalt temp, compaction and workmanship, concrete slump tests) and inspect the material delivered on site time, quality, and proper utilization., Reviewing the Pavement design as per the Traffic load and weather, mix design of asphalt and concrete, provides technical guidance for construction team, ensuring quality materials and methods are used. This may include conducting inspections of construction work and material, interpreting drawings, and approving materials with the contract specifications. And inspection for drainage structures construction, concrete quality test, reinforcement inspection, back fill inspection as per the drawing and standard specifications. Embankment construction, bridge and culvert approach, sub grade fill, back and side slope construction supervision., Quarry and borrow source management and inspection: Quarry source management and inspection. Soil and aggregate production for: sub-Garde, for fill, for and quarry stone production inspection for, concrete aggregates and for pavement layers (subbase, base course and asphalt aggregates) construction inspection as per the standard specifications., Ensure materials used in construction projects meet specified standards, such as aggregate for subbase or base course material, concrete aggregates, and asphalt mix quality inspection before delivery, during delivery and during placement. conduct tests, analyze data, and implement corrective actions., Construction Supervision: Oversees the construction process, ensuring materials are handled and placed correctly. Inspect work, address any issues, and ensure quality throughout., Make sure the roads, bridges, and other infrastructure are built strong, cost-saving, durable, and safe.
