As the child of Albanian immigrants who did not speak English, my sister and I often had to complete schoolwork on our own. My teachers supported me with patience and encouragement, and I knew I wanted to do the same for my future students. I am also drawn to teaching because every day is an opportunity to make a difference and share my love of learning.
