Throughout my high school career, I excelled in honors classes, earned a 4 on 3 AP tests, participated in marching band, my school's varsity tennis team, National Honor Society, Youth Leadership, and was the editor for my high school yearbook staff for three years. As well as this, I also maintained a 3.8 GPA while working 20 to 30-hour weeks after school at Firehouse Subs. I enjoyed dedicating my time to volunteering at the local Clinton Rotary Club, where I attended their sponsored RYLA field trip, delivered a speech to their committee, put together Thanksgiving baskets, and handed out Angel Tree gifts to local children. This type of work was a very eye-opening experience for me, which is something I want to take into my future career as a forensic nurse practitioner.
