I am an autistic young man from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who has had several years of work from high school to college and now post-college years with experience as a volunteer at the Boise Zoo and work in the fast-food industry at a local McDonald’s, Five Guys and Wendy’s (the former 2 jobs in the Boise, Idaho area and the Latter 2 jobs in the Rexburg Idaho area.)
I worked at Wendy’s in the main lobby where the customers sat and ate, where I worked to keep the tables and chairs clean, along with the bathrooms, entry doors, window ledges, and the condiment stand, restock and refill the condiment stand, sweep and mop the floors when crumbs and wet drinks were on the floor.
What I did at the Five Guys was that I worked at the main lobby where customers sat and ate meals, as I cleaned the tables and chairs, bathrooms and floor tiles, while also refilling the condiment stand and cleaning the condiment stand as well. I also worked to sweep and mop the lobby floors when they had crumbs and wet drinks on the floors.
I informed visitors at the zoo of some of the animals of specific exhibits from the penguins to the lions to the snow leopard to the tigers that I was stationed at about a few facts about the animals and convinced them to give donations to people who go out in the wild to remove dangerous and painful animal traps placed by poachers that harm endangered species.
First, I did work in the kitchen involving trying to move things like fries, nuggets and burgers onto specific stoves to be cooked for customers who make specific orders. I then moved to Lobby work where I did cleaning duties for the main lobby area where the customers sat and ate. What I cleaned was the chairs and tables, bathrooms, condiment stand and helped refill the condiment stand. I also helped swept and mop the lobby floors when they were filled with crumbs and wet drinks.
