Summary

I am passionate about helping individuals with special needs. I have over 7 years experience with Rise Inc (2005-2011) welcoming individuals in need of care to my home as both a Professional Parent and Respite Care Provider. Although I have taken a break from doing this for 12 years, my love for helping individuals with disabilities is still a huge passion of mine. I am currently a teacher for individuals with Special Needs and 90% of my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder (and other intellectual or developmental disabilities.) 90% of my students require an IEP. I have extensive knowledge on modifying for and accommodating individuals with many different diagnosis from ODD to Schizophrenia and from mild Autism to Severe or non-verbal Autism. I have also coached many sports from Jr. Jazz, to Special Olympics Soccer and this summer I am coaching Special Olympics Bowling. I care deeply about the individuals I work with and have a continued relationship with some of the individuals I supported in my home, (now they are 30 years old). I am committed to maintaining safe, clean and hygienic environments while supporting individuals in need of Respite care. Our home is welcoming, inclusive, calm, relaxing and fun!
