Work History

Scribe Ambassador

Scribe America
02.2023 - 07.2025
  • In February 2023, I received a promotion to Scribe Ambassador in the ED, where I train new scribes for their on-floor training, which consists of six shifts during which the scribes are taught their daily tasks and how to use the EMR systems.

Medical Scribe

Scribe America / Advent Health Campuses
05.2022 - 07.2025
  • From June 2022, I became a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at Advent Health Winter Garden and Clermont ER, where I assisted numerous medical professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, in their documentation on a daily basis. In the emergency department, there are several cases where we would have to be prepared for documenting, which includes, but is not limited to: OBGYN and urinary symptoms, abdominal pain, chest pain, eye exams, and pediatric patients. I am certified in documenting for several specialties, including Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and am allowed to observe procedures and physical exams for documentation purposes. I have charted for numerous specialties, which include the history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam findings, assisted providers in the admission process, and have gained immense knowledge while working for our providers in the Emergency Department. There have also been situations such as a STEMI, stroke alert, and cardiac arrest cases that I have documented on numerous occasions. I have also observed and documented several procedures done by providers, which include laceration repair, chest tube insertion, foreign body removals, critical care time, IV placements including central line, blood pressure, and O2 monitoring, and others. I am well-versed in EPIC and can quickly learn other EMRs.

Patient Ambassador

Northshore University Hospital
01.2019 - 06.2019
  • I volunteered as a patient ambassador and shake mate at Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. I assisted in numerous activities such as being a liaison between nurses and patients on several floors such as orthopedic and cardiology departments. I would answer call bells and making sure patients were comfortable as possible by making care baskets which had important toiletries for them to use during their stay. I stocked patient rooms with gloves, masks, and gowns for physician, nurse, and other professional use. I interacted with the nurse manager, CRNA, physicians, and nurses during my day to make sure that they had everything they needed materials wise to get through their day.
  • Shake mate (volunteering) April 2019-June 2019: Assisted nutrition services by serving prepared protein milkshakes to patients on the oncology floor who were currently taking chemotherapy treatment. These patients were experiencing symptoms associated with chemotherapy treatments including nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. The milkshakes were protein based and were served at certain times throughout the day which we took them out the coolers and served them to patients. They would always smile when we were coming around and that small act really made a difference to them.
