Attended Tarleton State University where I studied Horse Reproduction and Management. Helped start up a therapy ridding program. During summer vacation I was a veterinarian technician in the horse barn for Dr. Withworth in Bastrop part time and part time breeding and halter breaking colts for Sterling Farms, till my boss at Sterling Farms had a stroke and I went to work full time for him when I wasn’t at college. Then continued an internship where we collected and shipped semen along with inseminating mares with Steve Volgelsang at Whicita Ranch in Brenham, Texas. I was responsible for the caslicks in the mares that received embryos and collected stallions, shipped semen and artificially inseminated mares. After college I Managed Sterling Farms Cutting Horses in Rockdale, Texas for ten years were I was responsible for all breeding, halter breaking, sales prep, daily feeding and care for over eighty plus head of breeding stock. I also designed the layout of the facility and helped to build the barns and pens. Operated a custom hay baling operation with my husband before moving to West Texas for my husbands job opportunity. Both my husband and I can maintain hay equipment, load and haul tractors and hay long distances. I currently run and maintain a pivot of alfalfa along with cutting and baling
