My name is Stephen Carmichael; I am an eighteen-year-old student at Foothill College. Regarding my academic goals, I strive to maintain the highest GPA possible. The field of my study is computer-science and, more specifically, c++. When it comes to my career goals, I am hopeful; I plan to apply to big tech and get into a prominent SWE team. I intend to generate career wealth to take care of my mother. I am highly ambitious and am willing to sacrifice and do what most are unwilling to do. When money got tight for my family and me, sixteen at the time, I decided to move out and go to New Mexico to learn a trade to help take care of and pay for myself. It was tough to move out alone and work 50-60 hour weeks doing hard and dangerous work without home comfort. In my time in the trades, I have honed my problem-solving abilities. I enjoy taking things apart and understanding how they work!
