
Beginning in March of 1983, I had the privilege of a diversified and rewarding career in Highway Maintenance, culminating with my retirement in 2019. My responsibilities included supervising personal, overseeing maintenance and repairs of equipment and buildings, developing methodology for many research projects and writing over 150 state and federal reports pertaining to that research.
Supervised approximately 25 Maintenance Mechanics and two Region Carpenters.
Responsibility of 105 buildings within my Region.
Responsibility of over 650 pieces of maintenance heavy equipment.
Worked in conjunction with other Regional Managers developing annual budgets and work plans.
Conducted personnel interviews both within my purview of expertise and other related maintenance positions.
Selected Employee of the month from all Department personnel
Developed Safety protocol which was selected for the "Outstanding Safety Process Award" within all Departmental functions.
