I grew up in Alaska, and at the age of 14, I had the opportunity to work for a friend's dad at his gas station and general repair shop in Soldotna, Alaska. Full-time in the summer and part-time in the winter because of school. I received extensive hands-on training on everything from oil changes to engines and transmissions, brakes and suspension, basic electrical work, etc. My friend's dad took me under his wing and taught me the professional way to work on cars, and that's where my career in the automotive industry began. Throughout the years, I continued to take advantage of many different opportunities that increased my skill level and knowledge, not just on the technician side, but also on the business and management side. I have seen the industry change drastically over the years, and I have continuously tried to stay on top of the current levels of technology. I have a long diagnostic history at all levels related to all areas of a vehicle. My specialty is drivability, electrical, and electronic systems diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair. I'm highly proficient in all other areas as well. Highly skilled in customer service, sales, and communications. While I do have extensive knowledge, I don't know everything, and I don't want to come across as if I do! I have never met anyone who knew everything in this business! I'm at the point in my life that I feel the need to pass on what I know and have experienced, and I would like to oversee and help technicians and shops become more knowledgeable, as well as more efficient, in all areas of operations. I look forward to an in-person interview that would help you get to know me and the kind of person I am.
