Development of a strategy that provides an orderly transition of Duke Energy's generation fleet in alignment with reduced carbon emissions while maintaining reliable and affordable electricity.

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of 10,000MWs of coal generation in the Carolinas. Responsibilities included operations, maintenance, capital improvement projects, budget and financial performance of the coal fleet.

Responsibilities included capital project implementation and maintenance outage support of Duke Energy's fleet of coal and gas generation facilities. Regional teams provided project development, project management and oversight for capital improvements and maintenance outage planning and execution in support of approximately 18,00MWs coal and 17,000MWs gas fueled generation.

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the Midwest regulated generationfleet. This included approximately 6,000MWs of coal and 1,500MWs of gas fueled generation located in Indiana and Kentucky. Responsibilities included operation and maintenance staffs, capital improvement projects, budget and financial performance of the coal fleet.

Responsibility for the safe, reliable, and compliant operations of Marshall Steam Station. Marshall Station is a four unit, 2200MW coal fired base load generating facility.

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of Allen Steam Station. Allen is a five unit, 1140MW coal fired base load generating facility.

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operations of the Hydro and Combustion Turbine fleet. The fleet included approximately 2,200MWs pump storage and 1,100MWs of conventional hydro generation. The combustion turbine fleet included approximately 2,000MWs of gas / oil fired simple cycle turbines.

Lead a team of purchasing agents, inventory analysts, and warehouse technicians in providing material support to the fleet of coal, gas, oil, and hydro generating facilities. This support included transactional activities as well as strategic planning for material and equipment supply.

Various leadership positions including Manager of Coal Ash Group, General Office Facility Manager, Investment Recovery Manager, and Project Manager. Began career in the Design Engineering organization in support of Nuclear, Coal, and Hydro station modifications.
