Highlights and Achievements
Under the supervision of the Arts Education Director, performed a variety of duties and responsibilities involved in enrolling students in arts classes.
For the past three years, I have had the great pleasure, joy and honor of portraying Santa Clause as part of Callanwolde Fine Arts Center's Winter House, which is the main fundraising event. I had performed in amateur theater productions before coming to Callanwolde, but being Santa was a new experience for me. As the years progressed, we added Pet Photos with Santa and a Sensory Santa. Sensory Santa is a visit with Santa for neurodivergent kids who cannot tolerate traditional visits with bright lights, loud music and lots of commotion. Accommodations are put in place to reduce the lights and noise. The opportunity to be Santa provided a creative outlet that I had missed the 11 years of living in Atlanta.
