Summary

As a high-energy fire captain equipped with advanced abilities in fire prevention and firefighting. I ran successful operations serving local community with classes, emergency response and special events. I am observant and detail-oriented with great problem-solving and critical thinking skills. I was involved in several committees for various projects both internally and externally. In addition to my required duties as fire captain I over saw the hazardous material response team for 9 years. In addition I was part of the fire investigations team and completed numerous origin and cause reports. During this time I prioritized budget and equipment planning. I wrote several successful grants for training and equipment. I also worked closely with private companies, local government, and federal government agencies to provide emergency planning and quality emergency response in my response district.

As a construction laborer I was a strong self starter that was able to complete tasks with little or no supervision. I was capable of completing tasks on time and on my own for much of the day. My duties included concrete mason, framing carpenter, finish carpenter, roofing and siding installer, and equipment operator.

At ES3 Inc I currently use highly detailed schematic drawings to construct elaborate zinc-nickle plating fixtures. I also apply high tech aerospace coatings and finishes. I am the current safety officer for the Clearfield MRDC location. I conduct monthly inspections for fire safety, provide training, and examine procedures and make recommendations on safety.

In my spare time, in the last 6 years I have run a small business out of my garage. I make specialty wood and metal items not available stores. I create one of a kind furniture, cutting boards, fire fighting props, and assorted small jobs for a niche market. My skills and capabilities include MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication, wood processing and milling, epoxy projects, project planning, and installation.
