Streets

  • Manufacture and installation of signs in the city right-of-ways using numerous computer programs, hand tool and equipment including sign truck.
  • Using global positioning equipment to capture new signs and light pole assets that have been installed in the City of Kennewick by contractors.
  • Maintain and replace worn out pavement markings using pre-formed thermo plastic which include crosswalks, stop bars, turn lane arrows and railroad crossings.
  • Assisted with the daily operations of the long line striping truck.
  • Repair and maintain city right of ways with asphalt, concrete and other materials.
  • Preform daily traffic control for work in city streets. Set up flagger stations and work zones to allow motorist and pedestrians safe passage through construction areas.
  • Assist local law enforcement with traffic control and road closures for accidents and hazardous conditions.
  • Fill in on equipment such as the loader, skid steer, excavator, vacuum truck and street sweeper when additional manpower is needed.
