Front End Engineer (full stack responsibilities)

  • Led the technical design / breakdown of new features for IBM’s talent acquisition platform. Enabled 2000 recruiters to manage candidates through all stages of the application life cycle.
  • Designed, built, and maintained APIs to consume vastly different data sources and output uniform information about IBM job postings and the people who applied to them.
  • Coordinated with teams across IBM to provide a shared feature management platform. Used a tiered roll out strategy for new functionality to receive feedback earlier in the development lifecycle.
  • Created an open-source component library so clients could easily integrate data from one of IBM cloud’s AI offerings into their own user interfaces.
  • Participated in mentoring a fellow colleague and designed a project to help them learn the fundamentals of software engineering and bring a valuable service to coordinate tickets within their customer support team.

  • Successfully onboarded the larger Site Reliability Group on to New Relic which allowed for the first time confidence that on-premise users had 99.99% uptime when accessing their web application.
  • Took initiative and contributed PR's to the front end repository of the product where I was a Site reliability engineer.
