My duties included: provided direct patient care for adults with a wide variety of medical conditions and surgical procedures, including assessing patient health, creating and implementing care and treatment plans, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, wound care, infection control, and supervised licensed practical nurses. During this time, I collaborated with physicians and other health care professionals, documenting patient progress such as their conditions and recovery.
- From October 2000 to April 2002, I worked as a full time registered nurse in the outpatient and endoscopy units. My duties included: preparing patients for procedures, assisting with endoscopy cases, recovering patients after procedures, administering conscious sedation, administration of medications, IV therapy, documentation of patient care such as vital signs, including EKG, medication administration, and education provided to the patient.
