- Substation Electrician leader with experience in maintaining, installing and repairing both transmission and distribution equipment including but not limited to transformers, circuit breakers, high voltage disconnect switches, ccvt's, ct's , pt's, surge arrestors, voltage regulators, relaying and control panels. Highly proficient in troubleshooting and repairing equipment in emergency situations.
- Experienced in reading and understating prints for both construction and wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Qualified in interpreting and completing Switching orders.
- Proficient in Manual of operations,lock out tag out, grounding procedures, Aph safety manual, and substation practices.
- Competent using and understanding test equipment such as Doble Pro, Doble timing, ductor, megger, profile, and sf6 gas testing.
- Experienced in construction of new substations, including erecting steel, installing and adjusting high voltage switches, circuit breakers, transformers, relaying and control panels with associated control wiring.
- Maintenance experience including but not limited to replacing switch insulators, changing voltage regulators, repairing tap changers, breaker maintenance, replacing transformer bushings, adjusting high voltage switch linkage
- Experienced in installing and energizing mobile substations in emergency situations.
- Class A Cdl with tanker endorsement
- Cci certified crane operator
- Qualified in operation of man lifts, high reach, bucket trucks, corner mount, skid steer, excavator, and crane.
