I have strong communication skills in person and on the phone, this has allowed me to get my point across in an effective and a precise manner. I demonstrated these skills during my employment with Phelps Memorial Hospital Center. While here I had to communicate with different people of all ages and backgrounds to help assist them with scheduling appointments for physical therapy and communicating insurance information to them. I often end up serving as a translator for patients depending on the situation., I am a proven dependable individual in the workplace. Whenever the supervisor is out, I am put into her role and must communicate with other department heads whenever patient issues arise. I'm also in charge of making the schedule for the rest of our front-end team and coordinating what tasks must be completed for the day. In addition, I always attempt to assist both management and staff to the best of my ability with anything they might need assistance in Meditech or Allscripts., While working at Phelps there are numerous occasions where I have had to multitask. There have been days when I've needed to get insurance benefits done for over twenty patients but also assist the front desk to assist with scheduling. There have been days when I've needed to obtain pre-certifications for members, do insurance phone calls, create physical charts for Early Intervention babies and go through patient discharges. We're an outpatient hospital facility that has over twenty providers daily, so if we aren't able to meet certain deadlines or time constraints then it can have a butterfly effect on our patient experience. Thankfully I've been able to adapt and keep up.
