Performs or leads crew in maintaining reservoir and tank draining while choosing appropriate chemicals for disinfection
Performs safety inspections on reservoir dams, catch basins, piezometers and catch basins while conducting monthly measurements.
Maintain and prepare reservoirs for washing and winterizing, including charging wash-out lines, shutting and opening main drains, inspecting water quality samples, and repairing or replacing piping and valves
Utilize high pressure equipment such as Harbons and Silver Eagles to clean reservoirs
Putting reservoirs in and out of service while continuing to provide water to affected zones
Repair and perform required testing of drinking water backflow assemblies
Perform maintenance on fence repair, gate repair and bird grid system repair on reservoir sites
Inspecting, cleaning and removing debris and performing repairs as necessary on reservoirs, tanks, standpipes and polypropylene liners
Prepare surfaces for paint repair including grafitti removal on tanks including standing water tanks requiring operation of booms and lifts
Perform sanitary inspections of reservoirs and surrounding areas to identify repairs in compliance with the Department of Health
Responds to 24/7 emergency repair requests while on call
Maintains high work ethic and standards without supervision.
Oversees contract diver inpections
Supports and oversees projects for other divisions providing field support for engineering teams
