I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana my entire life. Growing up I went to extremely small school and had to learn how to work with all different types of people. I am extremely grateful for this experience because it really helped shape my social skills at a young age. I then attended a bigger high school and I had to adapt fast. I was not used to the situation, but learned a lot about myself and ultimately succeeded there. I then decided to to attend IU Bloomington which was a massive transition. I immediately got there and tried to make connections. I found a fraternity that matched with my values and was lucky enough to be chosen to join. I made connections with everyone around me and it yet again helped me learn how to deal with different types of people.
For this job, I communicated with my boss on what projects needed to be completed next. I talked to other companies that we were acquiring products from and picked them up. I completed different types of daily deadlines. I figured out what builds needed certain things and made sure to speed up the process of renovation.
I worked here for most of my senior year in high school after my football season ended. I learned skills of working with people and especially working with other employees. I learned how to sell things by making a deep connection with the customers and knowing a lot of them by name.
I was with kids from ages 4-12 during the summer and helped them learn or enhance their reading ability. I would do different sort of activities with them and watch them for their families.
For this job, I worked 5 days a week watching kids at my local country club. I would play games with them, teach them sports, and help them learn to swim. I learned to get a long with parents very well and them trusting me with their children.
