The Community Ambassador role consists of coordinating and executing in store and community events along with campaigning throughout the community. A community ambassador is dedicated to taking care of people while building bridges and connecting people together. Mission BBQ focuses not only on our customers but also on our "Tribe". Our tribe consists of hometown heroes: police, fire and first responders in addition to our active duty and veteran heroes. Planning events around our "Tribe" has taught me how one person can impact a group of people. With my sole focus being our "Tribe" I am able to build a bridge to our community leaving our heroes feeling at home with our business. To be a successful Community Ambassador you need to have an outgoing personality to reach our people. I have spoken at a numerous of public events expressing "Our Mission" in who we are and what we do. Along with these in store events we also take part in volunteer events like Wreaths Across America and feeding homeless veterans. Having an outgoing personality has shown me the difference people have on each other. Aroma Joes is a business that focuses on "positively impacting people" this means there are no intercoms when ordering at the shop. Aroma Joes focuses on face to face interpersonal communication to make personal connections with our customers. Having an outgoing and friendly personality while being a barista has advanced my customer service. With these two titles, I am also cross trained on every front of house and back of house position at Mission BBQ, this includes Expo, dining room leader, hourly manager, prep cook, line cook, catering captain and designated certified trainer. These positions as a whole have increased my skill set along with my dedication to making customers happy.
