I started my nursing career in 1996 as an RN staff nurse in a long term care facility, then worked for 16yrs at UTMB in the echocardilogy department performing cardiac stress testing and providing conscious sedation and patient monitoring for transesophageal echocardiograms. I achieved cardiovascular certification level 1 from American College of Cardiovascular nursing. My career path then led me to working med/surg nursing and infusion therapy at St Johns Hospital in Houston. I felt a calling to change my scope of practice to home services and began working as a home health and home hospice nurse in 2015.
