  • Diagnosed, evaluated, and restored COM systems and networks supporting Air Traffic during system and network failures in the NAS
  • Systems included Voice Switching and Control System (VSCS), VSCS Training and Backup Switch (VTABS), Digital Audio Legal Recording (DALR), Remote Communications Air/Ground (RCAG), Radio Communication Link (RCL), and Backup Emergency Communications (BUECS), National Defense Air to Ground and Radio and FOTS
  • Coordinated with FTI and Air Traffic on the system and circuit cutovers to bring the new systems and services into NAS
  • Troubleshoot FTI telephone line and monitoring line outages, installed RCE-CMT equipment at ZID SOC, Ran Cat 5 cables from COM unit to SOC, tested, installed, and configured databases
  • With these efforts, ZID SOC is now able to monitor COM services
  • Coordinated with FTI, AT, and FAA Telcom divisions to prevent unscheduled telco outages with the IND District
  • Developed a local drawing for RADAR 3600 modem and 6250 modems
  • This resulted in ease of troubleshooting and needed documentation for training purposes
  • Coordinated, reviewed, and provided input on various COM projects for BUEC facility Projects including replacing the cable and antenna system on the NAS critical system
  • Provided technical assistance to various modifications and installations on the ZID/RCAG, BUEC, and NDAG facilities
  • Currently part of the team working on the Backup Emergency Communications project for Environmental Remote Monitoring subsystem (ERMS) connectivity using Radio control Equipment (RCE)
  • Through the ERMS system, ATSS can monitor fuel tanks and uninterruptible power supply, engine generators, commercial power, temperature, and a battery power source
  • Similarly, ZID/SOC personnel can also to monitor system functions from ERMS
  • Diversity experience with Installing air-to-ground and ground-to-ground switches, routers, and Servers for Voice Switch and Installing new Radio for Indianapolis SSC
