I regularly produced one of the highest level of well-rounded activity among all officers

During my career with the Dayton Police Department I was awarded Department Commendations I was also awarded the Dayton Police Department's Award of Merit (twice) and the Department's highest award, the Medal of Valor (for saving the life of a drowning man)

I accomplished all of this while raising my three sons

I am active in my church, including being the Youth Leader for five years

I mention all of the above to illustrate that I have been very energetic, self-motivated, and an active worker all my adult life My career with the Dayton Police Department has helped equip me to effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of individuals with very positive results I am polite, courteous, and respectful with everyone (including disagreeable people) and have developed strong interpersonal interview and negotiating skills

I have worked with the Office of Child Welfare Investigations since July of 2017 and have been assigned to Childhelp where I have worked intricately with the Sergeants and Detectives assigned to the Childs Crimes Bureau and well as Detectives assigned to the Homicide Bureau
