• PCA - Personal Care Aide

Right now I am a part time caregiver for a woman who is in last stages of Alzheimer’s. She has two very competent ladies who care for her on a regular basis. I fill in when needed. I feed her, take her to bathroom with help of her husband, bathe her, help put her to bed, administer medications and generally sit beside her and hold her hand to comfort her.

I also sat with a man as needed while his wife had doctor’s appointments. She just needed someone to be there to make sure he didn’t fall off of bed. He was in Hospice so there wasn’t much I could do for him but sit and watch him. He has since passed away. I am a very patient person who does not mind doing what I can to comfort others and help out family members anyway I can.
