STEP UP Ambassador American Physical Society (APS) trained physics teachers throughout the country in curriculum to promote diversity and inclusion in physics courses. Physics Resource Teaching Resource Agent (PTRA) with American Association of Physics Teachers. – Began AP Physics C - (Mechanics) and Multivariable Calculus (95% pass rate on AP Physics)

Also taught Honors Physics, Engineering Physics and Conceptual Physics. Coordinator of the Green Engineering Academy An Award Winning California Partnership Academy. AP Calculus BC courses ten year pass rate 90% and increased number of test takers from 20 to 90. Science Dept. Co-Chair (since 2011) during implementation of NGSS. New courses in science and math depts. including Engineering Research and Development (ERD).

2000 - present LVJUSD Science Odyssey - In collaboration with district wide staff, developed a district wide Science Celebration promotes project-based-learning (PBLs), Began in 2000 continued with hundreds of projects, events, community participation, food, music, etc.


2010 - 2019 Calculus Camp - Weekend Camp To Review for the AP Calculus and Physics exams in a fun, collaborative environment.


2014 - present "Seniors Helping Seniors" High School senior engineering academy students design and build devices to make life easier for senior citizens with memory loss.


2016 - present Adopt a Physicist - Four week program with students and physicists from around the United States culminating with a teleconference with several prominent physicists.


2009 - present "Physics in a Box" - Students create laboratory activities of which the lab supplies fit in a shoe box and sent to a physics class in under served communities in the US and abroad.
