I work at rotating schools. Currently my main schools are:-

Broadmoor Elementary

Sherwood Middle Magnet

Audubon Elementary

Jefferson Terrace Academy

I have also worked at multiple other schools as needed.

I also have worked an Asthma Camp every Summer, and several Summer Schools. I have also worked for several months as a Covid tester, and vaccinator.

The responsibilities of a School Nurse are varied, including:

Vision and hearing testing.

Puberty classes.

Clinical assessments and treatments.

Writing individual Health Plans and Emergency Plans.

Emergency management of traumas, fractures, seizures, syncopal episodes, severe respiratory distress ( Asthma ), bleeding, panic attacks and emotional issues.

Diabetic Care.

Teaching children and parents on disease processes.

Collaboration with other school discipline's, therapists, and also with parents and physicians.

Tube feeding's, catheterizations. Vital signs. Trach care.

Checking in and administered medications safely according to established guidelines while closely monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions requiring intervention.

In home visits.

Clinical assessments, wound care, veni-punctures, catheterizations, medication management, a lot of teaching. Collaboration with patient, family and other disciplines.
