I am an RN but no longer licensed. I was born in Cincinnati Ohio, the daughter of a family practice physician and the sister of a nephrologist. There was no question i would work in medicine somehow. I have always been a caretaker and enjoy helping people. When i moved to Oregon, I was thrilled to apply at Sacred Heart and always enjoyed the team collaboration and patient care concerns. Since retiring, I have worked on our 6 acre property and provided care for numerous dogs, cats and horses.
I have been married for 37 years to Bill Weiberg whose mother was also a supervisor.
After many years as a nurse manager, I applied for the hospital supervisor position. Responsible for staffing, patient care, unit policies, hospital management, and many other things. I managed over time psychiatry, float pool, medicine, outpatient, psychiatry again, and supervision. I loved all of my positions with PeaceHealth, and have always felt positive about my employer. After 40 years, I retired. Now I am bored and am looking for something interesting to do, so am applying for your Reception Desk position at RiverBend.
I was a nurse manager in Cincinnati which was my home. I worked in psychiatry there and loved my work. I moved to Oregon in 1975, and began working at Sacred Heart that summer. I am a registered nurse although no longer licensed. I love working with people, and have always enjoyed my work.
I was responsible for strategies when staffing was tight, monitoring compliance with hospital rules and regulations, and policies and procedures I monitored relationships between nursing staff and physicians, and often supported nursing staff by pitching in and helping with care At shift end, I presented the oncoming supervisor with notes from each unit, including number of patients, admissions and discharges, issues with staffing, and problems with the shift During each shift, I coordinated admissions and visited every unit to oversee activities and work on any problems
