Project: IT Treasury Management Implementation

Fifth Third Bank's comprehensive suite of receivables solutions will maximize efficiency and help improve Customer’s working capital. No matter what form of payment customers choose, from Physical checks to Automated clearing house collections, for purchase goods or services, integrated solutions can help customers receive funds more efficiently and provide with better insight into Customer’s cash position. On-boarding process involves multiple groups like Product fulfillment, IT Implementation and Support with their respective responsibilities. IT Implementation is responsible for setup Files, create Jobs, Procedures and Programs for each customer. Once we get the input data file from customer we will do coding, testing and validation with customer. After customer approval we will move all components to production.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the requirements and find out the impact of system with new requirements.
• Code new batch programs using COBOL, SAS and modifying existing batch and online modules as per requirements.
• Perform the peer reviews and maintaining the effective quality process and standards.
• Perform the Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing. - Solving queries of the business end users.
• Implementing the sterling process for existing FTP process to transfer the files to users.
• To support, maintain and resolve the issues.
• Track the SLA for every task and prepare reports for management review.

Project: Infolease Platform Upgrade

Infolease(IL9) is the current platform at Fifth Third Bank for Equipment Finance/Lease Banking and the system of record for accounting, invoicing and asset life monitoring. IDS, vendor for InfoLease, released InfoLease version 10 (IL10) to replace version 9.x (IL9). IDS announced and is providing End of Life support for IL9. Market conditions, business objectives, or Regulations could arise that our current IL9 software could not (or would not) be modified to accommodate. This project aligns with the Enterprise strategy to replace EOL applications. During IL10 Upgrade the old codes of IL9 has been converted from Infotrieve to SQL.

Responsibilities:

• Document Technical specifications
• Based on Functional document, create the Technical Design and Specifications document including mapping document for data migration
• Analyze data mapping between Infolease and downstream apps
• Identify impacts to downstream applications
• Execute Unit, Functional, Integration and Regression tests to ensure End Product Quality
• Testing code in UAT environment and making sure to log test results which further helps resolving issues with the application
• Modification and enhancements required in application or to fix any issue that were faced during testing
• Carrying out pre-production implementation reviews of deliverables

Project: ACBS Upgrade

ACBS (Advanced Commercial Billing System) platform supports Syndicated Loans, Participation Loans, Non-US Dollar Loans, and the Canada Branch Portfolio. The application vendor has notified that Bank’s version of code (V6.0.2) has entered an “Extended Maintenance Support Period” designation which would be concerning for ongoing support and enhancement. Market conditions, Business objectives, or Regulations could arise that Bank’s current ACBS software could not (or would not) be modified to accommodate. So, Fifth Third Bank upgraded the application to newest version of ACBS 8.0. During the project the affected area were identified and updated the code (JCL, SAS) to accommodate the changes of updated system.

Commercial Banking: Most of the work performed by commercial IT business unit is project oriented, developing new Automated Financial Service dealing with integrated commercial lending system designed to process multiple types of current and future loans on a single, real-time, multibank, multicurrency system. Integral to the core AFS lending solution is its unique straight through processing capability encompassing the lending process origination through servicing.

As part of commercial lending platform, Fifth Third operates and depends on below servicing applications:

· Automated Financial Systems (AFS)

· Advanced Commercial Banking Systems (ACBS)

· Bank-Trade

· InfoLease

· Canada-Branch

Responsibilities:

• Evaluated diverse organizational systems to identify workflow, communication, and resource utilization issues.

• Served as point of contact for clients regarding follow-up, meeting scheduling and responses to questions.
• Adapted quickly to changing project priorities and job specifications with analytical thinking and task prioritization skills.

• Develop Technical design document as per requirement.

Project: Wal-Mart: Inventory Management

Inventory Management project deals with In-stock dashboard for the Store Managers to review the on-shelf availability where OSA (On shelf Availability) score will be shown on basis of goals set on weekly/daily basis. It will track the flow of inventory on basis of specific time span.

The project executes from three locations, i.e. offshore, near shore and Onshore. Total team of 10 people from TCS works on this project and 2 people from client side.

Project: Legacy Enhancement Project

TFS provides different Insurance products for Toyota and Lexus Cars. The products consists of Vehicle Service Agreements, Guaranteed Auto Protection Plan and Toyota Auto Care. TCS had been doing Production Support, small & mid-sized enhancement projects for Insurance area. The TFS Insurance Enhancement Project and Commercial Finance (TRAC & EWS) Enhancement Project are purely maintenance project with the objective to develop/enhance application functionality. There is Batch as well as Online (IMS) programs.

This project works on Onshore-offshore model. We have team of total 5 members work for these projects.

Project: McLane Maintenance Project

McLane Company is an international distribution and logistics leader. It provides services to more than 50,000 customer locations around the world.

The McLane Maintenance Project is a purely maintenance project with the objective to develop/enhance application functionality. The totality of the work covers the whole legacy system of McLane. There is Batch as well as Online (CICS) programs.

This project works on Onshore-offshore model. We have team of total 23 members work for these projects.

Project: PUBITALIA’80

In 2004 Publitalia decided to change the Darwin’s platform to J2EE with negotiable enhancements. The scope of work for the COBOL team included knowledge mining of the COBOL/CICS program and generate a Business Specifications document for Java development, ensure that the requirements get translated properly and test the application along with the Java team to ensure all functionalities were accurately captured.
