Being Mayor is a challenging but rewarding position. The Mayor position for the City of Danbury is an unpaid position. The role as Mayor is a busy one. My public service with Danbury started in 2011 when I was asked by the current city council at the time to take the position of my deceased husband. I served as a council member untill November of 2020. In February of 2022 I made the decision to seek the elected position of Mayor. Some of my accomplishments, and my responsibilities include:

• Spearheaded initiatives to improve infrastructure within the municipality. I worked with an engineering firm to apply for a grant to rehabilitate our waste water treatment plant. As a result, the city will be receiving 5.8 million dollars.
• Developed strategies for mitigating potential risks associated with natural disasters or other emergencies that could affect the area.
• Maintained a strong presence at community events such as parades and festivals, to foster goodwill among residents.
• Collaborated with city council members to set goals for the municipality.
• Oversaw the budgeting process for the city's departments.
• Established an investment policy for the city.
• Over saw the construction of a new chlorine room for our water plant.

My term ends in May of 2024. I plan to see re-election.

During my 42 years at Benchmark Electronics, I held many positions. The last position was master planner/schedulerAs a planner/scheduler some of the responsibilities were:

• Prepared production schedules for various manufacturing activities and maintained levels to achieve consumer demands.
• Maintained detailed records of inventory levels, material usage, labor costs. associated with the manufacturing process.
• Monitored the progress of production activities to ensure on-time delivery of products.
• Boosted efficiency and minimized waste by receiving production material deliveries according to forecasting and demand.
