After submitting a photo for an assignment for my photography class, I've been called over by the teacher because she had a question. She noticed one of my photos had potential in being submitted into the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. As a freshman in high school, I believed that this could open the door to getting my talent to be noticed nationally. To my surprise, I've received a Gold Key for photography and was very delighted that I took up on the opportunity to submit my photograph.
