• I started my nursing journey here as a new graduate nurse!
• I have cared for neonates with a variety of different disease processes and anomalies.
• Managed ET tubes and patients on CPAP, SIMV, NAVA, HFJV, HFV, and ventilators.
• Administered IVs/Pushes/Medications/Drips through central lines and performed routine nightly line changes.
• Practiced family centered care and effectively collaborated with the multidisciplinary team.
• Utilized the EHC Charting system to thoroughly document patient care, secure chat message providers and other members of the patients' medical team, and fully assess the patients' clinical overview/history.
• Conducted thorough reviews of clinical documentation to ensure compliance with utilization management standards.

• I volunteered on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a Rock and Hold volunteer within the program that is designed for aiding in the healing process for babies dealing with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
• As a volunteer, I provided love and comfort to the babies by snuggling with them, feeding them, and overall ensuring a peaceful quiet environment for them to thrive.

• I practiced as a nurse extern under my nurse preceptor on the Pediatric unit.
• I delivered quality patient care through completing head-to-toe focused assessments, obtaining vitals, and being a dependable support system for my patients and fellow staff.
• I also shadowed my preceptor as she administered medications and completed various procedures.
• Collaborated with healthcare providers to assess patient needs and appropriate care options.

• Under the guidance of an RN, I assessed, fed, administered medications to neonates, and effectively managed 3/4 patient loads.

• As a part of the internship in the LEAD in Maternal Child Health Program, I was fortunate enough to spend my first semester of senior year shadowing a Novant Health Nurse Practitioner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• I was able to see their daily routine of caring for the babies in the unit. That included completing assessments, inter/intra professional interactions, completing rounds, and implementing various interventions.
• She also educated me on the reasons behind different interventions, the purpose of the medications given, common labs, and procedures.
