Work History

Detective Corporal

Special Investigations
05.2025 - Current
  • In May of 2025, I was transferred to Criminal Investigations to supervise and lead the Special Investigations unit. I currently use my previous investigative and supervisory experience to assist Detectives with their investigations, assign cases as needed, manage caseloads, coordinate with partnering agencies, and handle cases of my own. I conduct routine case reviews with my Detectives, and often plan and review search warrants, or operation plans.

Patrol Corporal

Team 4
06.2024 - 05.2025
  • In June of 2024, I was promoted to the rank of Corporal and transferred to Patrol. I was assigned to a patrol team comprised mostly of younger Deputies. I met with each member of the team individually, discussed their goals at the agency, and what they are looking for in a patrol corporal. I lead team training sessions when staffing and manpower allow. I led numerous serious incidents, monitored pursuits, and completed several use-of-force and agency collision investigations.

Detective

ICAC
06.2023 - 06.2024
  • In June 2023, I was assigned to our ICAC unit. During my time in ICAC, I investigated CyberTips and potential human trafficking cases. I am also a member of the INTERCEPT task force, which consists of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies that combat child exploitation and human trafficking in Frederick County. As part of my investigations, I write numerous search warrants, conduct surveillance, and complete operation plans for residential search warrants. These operation plans consist of coordinating and planning for a SWAT operation, search operation, and interview. As the lead detective, it is my responsibility to ensure all assisting deputies, commanders, and supervisors are given the information they need for a successful operation. Throughout my entire tenure in CIS, I have attended numerous trainings and conferences to further my knowledge in investigations, all while maintaining an over a 90% closure rate in my cases.

Detective

Criminal Investigations
10.2022 - 06.2023
  • In October 2022, I was assigned to CIS as a Persons Crimes detective. During my time in CIS, I investigated both persons and property level crimes. I have also assisted Federal Agencies in investigations. I have assisted on several search warrants and call-outs. I come to work every day being proactive in my cases and communicating with my victims. I quickly became a reliable detective, needing minimal supervision, with my paperwork all being done on time and without needing correcting. I investigated over 80 cases in nine months, with a high closure rate, and charged numerous individuals, which led to successful prosecution. In addition, I assist with callouts on days I am not scheduled to be on call or working.

Patrol Operations

Frederick County Sheriff's Office
03.2019 - 10.2022
  • In March 2019, I was assigned to Patrol Team One after completing the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Police Academy. During my time on patrol, I became a reliable Deputy for my supervisors and a leader on the team. I arrived to work every day with a strong work ethic, I prioritized calls for service in my area, and I took on my own investigations. On patrol, I investigated and charged over 30 individuals, all while conducting investigations throughout my everyday duties and assisting my fellow deputies. I am a certified field trainer and crime scene technician. I field-trained two deputies, one lateral and one new hire. As a field trainer, I operated as a front-line supervisor and a mentor, ensuring that the new deputy performed tasks correctly, on time, and that they would be a good fit for the agency.
