Home Care

•Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify physical, emotional, and social needs for patients with a wide range of conditions
• Facilitate and maximize patient level of function in the home environment through guiding and instructing patients in therapeutic, self care and adaptive activities directed toward improving physical, cognitive and safety function for increased independence and safety in the home

• Educate patients and family members regarding diagnosis, therapeutic treatments, adaptive techniques/equipment to improve independence as well as long term planning
• Work closely with patients to establish goals based on current levels of function and potential for improvement

Inpatient Acute Care

• Evaluated and treated a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, trauma and surgical conditions
• Managed a full caseload of 5-7 patients per day, including all evaluations, re-assessments and treatments in the ICU and all other units
• Determined appropriate assessments for evaluation based on admission diagnosis, chart review and collaboration with other disciplines
• Planned and administered functional based therapy to maximize independence upon discharge
• Educated patients and caregivers regarding diagnosis, injury prevention, activity modifications, therapeutic treatments and home exercise programs

Outpatient Pediatrics
• Provided initial and re-evaluation of clients utilizing appropriate standardized assessments, interpreted results and implemented goal directed treatment interventions, including creation of home programs to promote carryover into the home.
• Managed a full caseload of 6-8 clients per day for a wide range of conditions including autism spectrum disorder, chromosomal abnormalities, developmental delay, ADHD, and cerebral palsy.

•Advanced social skills development in group settings through engaging play-based activities that fostered peer interaction and cooperation.
• Gained experience administering treatments via telehealth.
