For Exemplifying Respect, Compassion, fairness and Integrity

During my mission in DR#4724 - Lahaina HI - (Lahaina 2023 Wildfires) I was awarded a certificate for exemplifying respect, compassion, fairness, and integrity for the following reason. I assisted an individual who lost everything. Not only did this individual loose everything, he was also diagnosed with major depression. I went out of my way, but within guidelines to speak with him on many occasions.  It was important to me that that he knew that he was not alone. With being someone that this individual knew that he could depend on and was comfortable speaking with. Allowed him to find his way back to some kind of comfort & stability. I took my time and always mad sure that they understood our program, and what his responsibilities were in order to remain in the direct housing program.
