Under supervision of the regional nursing director, provides supervision to the DIS Team (Case Workers n & m) for HIV/STD Partner Service Activities. Ensures training for new staff, daily workload distribution and management goals. Performs or reviews surveillance analyses, case manage guidance/recommendations and other quality assurance elements with the regional program. Assure HIPAA & privacy standards compliance with federal/state laws and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control STD/HIV Program as well as all other policies and standards. Collaborates with program lead(s) and nursing manager to identify staff development needs/opportunities.
Provide effective technical assistance guidance to the regional DIS program to bring investigations and cases to closure within the required timeframes Ensure individual and program progress toward HIV/STD program objectives and goals, monitoring DIS performance and provides effective guidance and direction Attends the required program related meetings
Ensure active surveillance to verify reported HIV/STD data and elicit new HIV/STD case reports as needed Identify emerging issues or disease trends and inform local epidemiology and health officials of the findings Ensure updated care and management information sharing with stakeholders to ensure compliance with screening, treatment, and reporting guidelines Monitor disease and morbidity trends and report significant and emerging trends to the regional Program Manager and Central Office component(s)
