Ensure active surveillance to verify reported HIV/STD data and elicit new HIV/STD case reports as needed. Identify emerging issues or disease trends and inform local epidemiology and health officials of the findings. Ensure updated care and management information sharing with stakeholders to ensure compliance with screening, treatment, and reporting guidelines. Monitor disease and morbidity trends and report significant and emerging trends to the regional Program Manager and Central Office component(s).

Accomplishments

Received the SC State Consultant"s Award recognized my exemplary ability to lead a team of disease intervention specialist in providing successful disease intervention to the citizens in the Upstate Region. I received this award twice, 2017 and 2021
