Responsible for the overall supervision of the police dispatch operations, as well as other supervisors and Police Dispatchers on the respective shift.

Completion of all administrative paperwork, to include, but not limited to, Employee Performance Evaluations, discipline, and payroll.

Supervisor of the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) unit. Responsible for the overall success of the EMD program, and make certain all EMD reviews were correctly performed by the EMD Quality Assurance review staff. Oversee monthly and quarterly EMD compliance meetings. Maintain my personal certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher and reviewer.

Work closely with administration in the research and development of training plans and strategies for newly hired employees.

Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of all Police Dispatchers (PDs) on the assigned shift, to include the resolution of personnel complaints.

Prepare daily assignments for the PDs, as well as make last minute adjustments to the schedule due to unforeseen absences.

Troubleshoot and handle all minor equipment malfunctions.

Assist the Police Dispatch Supervisor 2 as needed and act in their capacity in their absence.

Responsible for facilitating and managing radio communications for, and relaying orders and information to and from police personnel.

Utilize critical decision making skills to coordinate resources responding to life or death situations. This includes the movement of multiple law enforcement units and agencies engaged in pursuit tactics, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and reacting quickly and calmly during stressful and emergency situations.

Operate and maintain required certifications in computerized information systems in order to provide police personnel with requested information.
