The first part of my professional and collegiate career was As a performing artist; I attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., where I studied classical voice. Subsequently, I attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where I studied opera for an additional three years. years before changing career paths to nursing.
Therefore, I have a deep love of the arts. I have also been an animal lover all my life, and have fostered and rescued kittens, dogs, cats, and puppies for over 20 years. I love to cook as a stress reliever, and I love to travel. I've had the great fortune of traveling to multiple countries all over the world. In the year 2024, I will be venturing to Africa for the first time.. time. Last year, I spent time in one of the blue zones of the world, Sardinia, Italy.
