I worked one on one with a diabetic student monitoring and regulating his blood sugar and insulin throughout the day. If he was out I would assist in the health room.
Direct support staff working in residential home setting. Assisted individuals with ADL's, passed medication, worked on their goals. I then became the Residential Coordinator Assistant where I coordinated staff schedules, grocery shopping, ensured monthly paperwork and documentation was complete. I did house checks and assisted the Residential Coordinator with whatever she needed. I accepted a med tech position in 2011 working alongside our RN and two other med techs.. We each had a caseload and were responsible for ensuring all annual and routine appointments were made and proper documentation was obtained and filed. We were responsible for assisting with monthly med exchange and med class.
I obtained my CNA in 2004 and have maintained my CPR/ First Aid certification ever since I have quite a bit of supervisory experience
