
Pharmacy Technician for 30+ years with hospital and retail experience and Medical Terminology Computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and Omnicell Proficient data entry skills and typing 50WPM Maintains and orders appropriate Inventories of commonly used drugs and receiving medications and storing them in proper location In charge of IV room doing Hyperalimentations, chemotherapy, large volume IV's, antibiotics Knowledge of pharmacology including acceptable routes of administration, proper dosage, interaction with other medications, side effects, etc. Knowledge of handling procedures and security protocols for controlled substances and medications Knowledge of inventory control procedures and proper documentation Knowledge of commonly used medical terminology, physicians' orders Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the storage and dispensing of prescription medication and delivery of medication in nursing home facilities and hospitals Ability to create and maintain detailed notes and documentation of daily activities in an organized and efficient manner Ability to recognize questionable and or incomplete prescriptions that could impact the health of the patient Ability to maintain very high standards of integrity and ethical conduct when dealing with controlled substances and confidential medical information Performs all clerical duties Knowledge of 3rd Party Billing
