
Experienced EMS provider with nearly two decades of service. Trusted advisor to leaders from many agencies across Fort Bend County and the surrounding areas regarding mental health education, crisis intervention and prevention and the development and implementation of support services for first responders. Known advocate for all first responders who are facing mental health crisis, substance dependence and other specialized individual and family needs when the need for support and assistance through navigating the process of EAP programs, insurance requirements and other red-tape barriers when attempting to access resources and treatment as well as first responders lacking access to any services, programs and/or insurance provisions for assistance. Well known participant and volunteer in area schools, community programs and various groups and community initiatives across Fort Bend County which seek to foster community awareness and public education. Strong cohesive and collaborative relationships with multiple First Responder Organizations across the county as well as area emergency departments, public health teams and regional CISM and CIT teams. Solid reputation as a team player with fire departments and law enforcement officers in the station and on the scenes of all calls for service with a known talent for interactions with patients, family members, bystanders and members of the public that are driven by a true heart for service, compassion, empathy and integrity. Passionate about community education, collaboration and participation with a firm belief in the responsibility of EMS agencies to support all areas of public health interests including preventative services and conservation of resources through focused, need-specific alternative routes for services, resources and care for all people, regardless of socioeconomic, cultural or logistical barriers.
