Accomplishments

In 2020, amidst the pandemic, I transitioned to providing remote education for third-grade students, utilizing the Canvas platform to enhance my instructional methods. Although I resumed teaching in physical classrooms in 2021, I continued to engage students through remote learning on asynchronous days, fostering their growth and fluency in learning. I also dedicated myself to a second job, tutoring online, and successfully helped all 75 students meet their reading goals. As a testament to my commitment and expertise, I achieved my Georgia Teacher Certification by passing the Gace and edTPA assessments. Additionally, I actively contributed to my school community by serving as a grade chair, participating in the MTSS committee, and being recognized as one of the top five teachers in the district for the upcoming academic year. I was appointed as the lead mentor for new teachers, guiding and supporting them in their professional journey.

My class's exceptional growth in IReady Reading during the 2023-2024 academic year was acknowledged during a June board meeting, underscoring my teaching methods' impact. Beyond the classroom, I am a self-published author of four children's books and a monthly affirmation guide, each registered with the US copyright department and distributed globally. My ownership of the trademark "I AM C.A.T. - Confident Ambitious Triumphant" is a personal and empowering brand dedicated to women, inspired by my late grandmother.

It was a significant accomplishment to initiate the trademark ownership process independently, with guidance from a trademark attorney. Furthermore, I operate an online store, which showcases my entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to empowering others through education and creativity.

Licenses And Certifications

From 2010 to 2013, I held a license as a Daycare Provider, certified by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

Additionally, I am a Georgia Notary Public in Columbia County, authorized to verify and authenticate legal documents.

Moreover, I am the proud owner of the trademark "I AM CAT CONFIDENT AMBITIOUS TRIUMPHANT," registered under US Serial Number 90086912. This brand is dedicated to fostering confidence and ambition, symbolizing empowerment rooted in personal values and experiences.

I have also achieved Georgia Certified Teacher status, with Certification Number 1382177, and I received a passing score on the edTPA, demonstrating my commitment to effective teaching practices.

Furthermore, I was honored to be selected as one of the five finalists for the Teacher of the Year Award by the Richmond County Board of Education in 2023, reflecting my dedication to excellence in education and my impact on the learning community.
