After I graduated high school and sitting on the idea of being a nurse, I applied to a nursing program in my area. This was a competitive program, and with the lack of life experience and knowledge I have now, I was not able to succeed in the program. I lost all my confidence and desire to become a nurse. This led me to switch my major. I got a part time job as a medical assistant in a clinic. I gained a lot of patient care experience and medical knowledge, which built my confidence to reapply for nursing school. I have proven to myself that confidence is the key to achieving your goals.
