Taylor Henry

I am an ambitious and proactive individual focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care. I have a strong belief in the importance of companionship and support to facilitate communication. Skilled in overseeing acute and chronic conditions while being able to remain calm and effective in very difficult situations. Strong knowledge of advanced surgical procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Expertly evaluated patients, monitored throughout surgical recovery and documented health information. Prioritized patient advocacy by proactively identifying issues, listening to patients and taking action quickly. Fosters relationships and coordinates with healthcare professionals to advance patient care.

I have come to realize that in addition to fueling my passion, my volunteer experiences have had a large impact on my career. I know first-hand the value of helping people and how it can make a difference to someone’s life. For the last three years, I have been a volunteer with the Stone Church Fire Department and currently mentor two other students. We’ve helped with state road cleanup as well as the local fish fry to give back to the community. Having the opportunity to work firsthand with the department and see what they do close up really affirmed my passion for volunteering. By helping them, we were helping so many others. I also assist with coaching the local girls’ basketball team during the summer. With the school being my alma mater and having played there as well, its exciting to get the team ready for the upcoming season. Giving back to the community and helping the younger generations is rewarding in itself because this is the area where I grew up and where future generations will be.
