I became involved with "Is it Worth It?", a drunk driving prevention campaign. This campaign is targeted towards high school students and brings awareness to the negative impacts drunk driving has on innocent people's lives. Through recent tragedy in my local community, I knew I wanted to do more so I became involved with this program and helped start it. Now we go to high schools throughout the local community, creating a very personal live simulation of a drunk driving accident. The goal is to prevent someone from getting behind a wheel intoxicated. This not only impacted others' lives but it showed me that I can make a difference and I want to continue to do that for as many people as possible. In my mind and heart, I know that drunk driving accidents are completely preventable. The link below is for part of the simulation I was personally involved in as the lead actress that did not survive the crash at the hands of someone that was intoxicated behind the wheel.
