  • Develop an Optimum Training Plans to ensure each MWD achieves and maintains a mission capable status.
  • Supervise training and evaluate each MWD team to ensure the required standards are met.
  • Coordinate the administrative, security, and transportation requirements to obtain and utilize training aids.
  • Evaluate validation and certification to ensure compliance with standards set forth.
  • Ensure all monthly records are reviewed, signed and provided to the Kennel Master by the 5th of every month.
  • During periods of MWD and Handler separation, ensure training requirements are met to maintain MWD qualifications.
  • Serve as the Kennel Master in his absence and when directed. Execute tasking as directed by the Kennel Master, Operations Officer, or the Provost Marshal.

  • Integrate your MWD team into supporting establishment law enforcement operations by providing an on-duty MWD capability to the watch commander(s).
  • Conduct patrolling operations to enforce laws/regulations according to the UCMJ and appropriate orders.
  • Conduct entry-control point reinforcements and security “presence” patrols to deter crime and trespassing at installation gates and where deemed necessary by the Kennel Master or Operations Officer.
