Taylor Smith

I am a devoted student with a strong passion for succeeding in film. I am highly coachable and grasp new materials very well. Besides my ability to connect with clients, I am often referred to as a mentor once I have mastered a skill. I am driven by creativity, attentive behavior, leadership, and an ambition to make a difference in the world through media. Most of my experience with media platforms has been self-taught, however, my current college courses are further developing my current skills. From my past job experiences, I have maintained high leadership skills, independent skills, and mentoring skills, while also being able to adapt quickly to change or altercations.

Through High school, I started growing a love for film when creating promotional YouTube videos for my ASB team and student viewers. Since then I have grown an independent self-taught understanding of editing and filming. I have directed, edited, acted in, and written one short film for a class project and look forward to creating more. Along those lines, I have always had a passion for writing and have recently begun to take classes in script writing. Other forms of writing I am involved in include creative writing and poetry. I also have experience with all Adobe platforms in creating movie posters and promotional flyers for events. Although I have no credited documentation of my work through film, it is something I am very passionate about, and I am ready to take a deeper dive into the industry. I am looking forward to learning from respected mentors and experts in the field that can help expand my knowledge through film.
