- As a host I took reservations over phone and in person. I greeted everyone and sat them according to how many people were in the party and removed plates if necessary. Answered phone to take takeout orders and respond to questions.
- As a server I had to know the menu and the availability of food and drinks. I would greet customers, present the menu, answer questions, take orders, and offer suggestions. I would prepare the table before customers arrive, and refill condiments and napkins. If they buy alcoholic beverages I checked IDs. I like to remove any extra plates and glasses off of the table. I will suggest, then bring food and drinks from the kitchen to the tables, and serve the drinks. When the customer is ready to pay I prepare the bill. I have learned to calm angry customers, manage complaints, or resolve conflicts. As a waiter I am able to work standing for long periods of time, have knowledge of alcoholic beverages while always having a smile and attending costumers kindly.
