Fulfills firefighting duties on top of responding to other incidents including marine incidents, structure fires, brush fires, rope rescue, calls for service, motor vehicle accidents, and emergency medical incidents. Units staffed include transport ALS ambulances, ALS engines, and ALS rescues. Most of call volume is EMS.

Responding on an ambulance to 911 calls where emergency medical services are needed. Only providing patient care and transport if required. Staffed at BLS and ALS levels. This unit is specific to Branford Fire department and is first due to all medicals when in service.

Working on ALS units responding to 911 calls, paramedic intercepts into surrounding towns, Interfacility transfers, critical care transports, organ transports, and life star intercepts. Field Training Officers fulfill duties of training new hires to the company's protocols and regulations while also teaching EMT students in class as a third rider

Responding to fire department related emergency's on rescue, engine, marine, and wild-land apparatus. Also consists of responding to emergency medical calls as a non-transport unit and providing/assisting with patient care. The Medical Officer is company specific in Branford Fire department and consists of managing medical equipment on all apparatus in the company assigned while also aiding and helping any medical personnel in the company with EMS based training.
